USTA Southern announced today their 2025 section awards, featuring 26 awards from individuals and organizations across the 9-state region.
Noteworthy, 6 Georgia individuals and/or organizations were recognized for their efforts in contributing to the mission of USTA Georgia, growing tennis to inspire healthier communities across the state.
Congratulations to the following:
Junior Team Tennis Coordinator of the Year – Robert Brown (Southeast Georgia Junior Team Tennis)
Local League Coordinator of the Year – Patsy Bendall (Macon Area Tennis Association)
Mac MacDougal Tennis Official of the Year – Ashley Dalton (Lawrenceville)
Ozaki-Hastings Junior Sportsmanship Award – Zachary Szymanski (Locust Grove)
Tennis on Campus Club of the Year – Georgia Tech
Wheelchair Tennis Excellence Award – Rob Popelka (Atlanta)
Recipients will be honored at the 2026 USTA Southern Annual Meeting on Saturday January 24th at the Crowne Plaza Ravinia Hotel in Atlanta.
