Gery Groslimond, Philip Johnson Inducted to Georgia Tennis Hall of Fame

Congratulations to Gery Groslimond & Philip Johnson, the Georgia Tennis Hall of Fame Class of 2024!

Gery Groslimond has helped develop 12 All-Americans, five national champions and more than 250 future college players in a 50-year Georgia coaching career that followed his playing days at Stanford, where he was a key member of a historic NCAA championship team.

Philip Johnson, who clinched the University of Georgia’s first men’s tennis national championship in 1985, started as small-fry underdog junior player and became a two-time college All-American and the first Georgia native to reach the top 150 on the ATP Tour.

The induction ceremony was held Saturday August 10th at Marietta Country Club, featuring 19 former Georgia Tennis Hall of Fame members in attendance.
