Congratulations to Maasiai Sales (Atlanta, South Atlanta NJTL) & Morgan Woodson (Augusta, MACH Academy NJTL).
Sales was the national NJTL Essay Contest winner in the Girls 17-18 age division, while Woodson was named the Georgia State essay contest winner.
This year’s essay contest asked authors the answer to this question: “Who is your GOAT?”
By winning the National contest, Maasiai received an all-expense paid trip to the US Open, with a weekend of activities during the US Open Fan Week, which included meeting 18-time Grand Slam singles champion Chris Evert on Wall Street and ringing the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange, a Deloitte learning experience and a special awards luncheon at the Yale Club.
By winning the state award, Morgan will receive an all-expense paid trip to Charlotte, N.C., in December to attend the Charlotte Invitational, in which top players Carlos Alcatraz, Francis Tiafoe, Sloan Stephens and Madison Keys will compete.
