One of the longest standing USTA Pro Circuit events on the calendar continues this week in Macon with the 2025 Mercer Tennis Classic.
Upgraded to the $100,000 level for the second consecutive year, the tournament features many distinguished alumni that played on the Macon courts, including Jessica Pegula, Danielle Collins, McCartney Kessler, Emma Navarro, Taylor Townsend and last year’s singles champion Anna Blinkova (pictured).
This year’s event is also again part of the USTA Australian Open Wildcard Challenge. The women’s wild card will be awarded to the American with the most ranking points earned at a maximum of three tournaments during a five-week window. All indoor and outdoor hard-court and carpet events at the 25K level and above, including WTA Tour events, will be included in the Challenge. The Mercer Tennis Classic is an important event in the Challenge!
Follow the action all week long from the John Drew Smith Tennis Center. Many events are planned throughout the week, so get yourself a ticket and watch world-class tennis in the Peach State.
