Georgia juniors had a great showing at the recently held Southern Closed Championships. The Level 3 Closed event is the premier junior tournament sanctioned by USTA Southern and features competition in 4 different cities across the South.
Of special note, congratulations to Southern Closed singles champions Elle Groslimond (Girls 16’s) & Simon Haylal (pictured below, Boys 14’s), along with doubles champions Evija Thoresen (Girls 12’s) & Elle Groslimond & Sadira Ouyang (pictured below, Girls 16’s). In the Girls 16’s event, Georgia juniors swept the top four places in singles!
In addition, Georgia swept the BG 18’s Sportsmanship Awards with Franchesca Brown (Girls 18’s) and Rajat Shirur (Boys 18’s) being lauded for their fair play, positive attitude and good sportsmanship throughout the championships.
