Birthplace: Atlanta
Most memorable officiating moment: Serving as a roving official for a 10 & under tournament. There was a player crying on court. This was not the surprising part. What was surprising was the reason why he was crying. The player stated “I was hoping that it would make him feel bad and he would take it easy on me.”
Diehard fan of what sports team? Atlanta Braves
Favorite city to travel: San Francisco
My dream doubles match would be me and…Difficult choice, John Isner
When I’m not playing tennis, I’m: Volunteer my time in the community, smelling various sorts of fragrances, looking for new saltwater fish for my aquarium or working in the yard
#1 reason why I enjoy officiating: After playing on a collegiate level, I wanted to find some way to continue to give back and enjoy the game of tennis in a different capacity besides coaching. Being able to aid in shaping, molding and developing future young professional tennis players in a tournament setting by applying the code of tennis is the ultimate reward and satisfaction. By helping each athlete gain an understanding of what is good sportsmanship and properly utilizing the rules of tennis is and will continue to be a goal of mine.
