Congratulations to Alpharetta’s Ryan Cozad who captured back-to-back ITF Junior Circuit titles in Costa Rica. With these results, he moves up in the ITF Junior rankings to #45 in the world, his career high.
Ryan started his streak at the J100 San Jose event, where he won 5 matches to capture the title, including defeating fellow Georgia junior (and longtime friend/doubles partner) Yannik Alvarez in the final. He made it 2-for-2 winning the doubles title with American Keaton Hance.
The following week in the same locale, Ryan’s strong play continued by winning his first ever J300 level event, this time without losing a set. He also teamed up with Gavin Goode (North Carolina) to reach the doubles final.
With a new career high ranking, Ryan has positioned himself well for possible direct entry into the upcoming Junior Grand Slam events.
Congratulations Ryan and Georgia is proud of your achievements!
