The excitement is building as USTA prepares to host the inaugural Mary Hatfield Junior Team Tennis (JTT) Invitational, set for August 30 – September 1, 2025, in Rome, Georgia.
This special event will welcome some of the best Junior Team Tennis players in the Southeast. After battling through their state championships, teams from seven states have earned the right to compete, with nearly 50 teams expected to take the courts. That means hundreds of juniors will gather over Labor Day weekend to showcase their talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a fun and competitive environment.
The Invitational honors the legacy of Mary Hatfield, a tireless advocate for junior tennis whose leadership and dedication shaped the JTT experience for countless players over the years. Bringing together athletes from multiple states, this event not only highlights the skill of young competitors but also celebrates the spirit of community and camaraderie that Mary valued so deeply.
Congratulations once again to all the teams who earned their place in this year’s field. The USTA staff looks forward to welcoming everyone to Rome for what promises to be an unforgettable start to a new tradition in Junior Team Tennis!
