Job Listing: Marketing Coordinator
USTA Georgia is seeking a qualified individual to fill the full-time position of Marketing Coordinator. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and committed to USTA Georgia’s mission of growing tennis to inspire healthier communities across Georgia. They will also possess skills in the marketing, communications, and public relations fields.
The following are essential position qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing and/or communications, or a related field (or alternatively extensive work experience in field(s)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, strong oral and written communication skills
- Must be proficient in Canva and able to teach others on the platform’s functionality
- Computer skills with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Photoshop
- Creative and forward-thinking
- Social media and marketing experience
- Tennis experience and background is preferred
- Ability to travel 20% of the time including several weekends throughout the year
The following are examples of essential position duties:
- Serve as a marketing resource for USTA Georgia staff, Community Tennis Associations (CTA’s) and local coordinators, providing guidance and support for marketing initiatives
- Assist CTA’s in developing and executing social media marketing plans and strategies
- Contribute to content and design of the USTA Georgia & Georgia Tennis Foundation websites
- Develop and distribute monthly marketing newsletters to stakeholders
- Actively participate in USTA Southern Section & National meetings, aligning the Association’s marketing strategies with USTA National’s vision while adhering to published brand guidelines
- Support with the execution of State Championships, tournaments and special events
- Lead marketing and social media efforts for the Georgia Tennis Foundation
- Compliance of USTA Safe Play policies, background screening & USOC Safe Sport trainings
USTA Georgia is a State Association within the USTA Southern section boundaries of the United States Tennis Association. A professional staff carries out USTA Georgia’s daily operations from its offices in in Marietta, GA. The Board of Directors and Advisory Council of USTA Georgia sets policies and procedures, with much of the organization’s work executed via committees comprised of over 100 volunteers and a network of 32 Community Tennis Associations (CTA’s).
