The Georgia Tennis Foundation is proud to introduce the Elaine Hamilton Junior Recreation Scholarship in memory of Elaine, whose lifelong dedication grew grassroots tennis across Georgia. Elaine served USTA Georgia in many roles, including as Executive Director until her retirement in 2013. Under her leadership, community tennis flourished, with multiple CTAs recognized nationally. In 2013 she received the Ruth Ryner Lay Award for Lifetime Achievement – the highest honor bestowed by USTA Georgia.
The Elaine Hamilton Junior Recreation Scholarship helps families provide their children with the opportunity to play Junior Team Tennis (JTT). Beyond individual growth, JTT gives young athletes the chance to experience the unique benefits of being part of a team. Players learn the value of teamwork, communication, sportsmanship, and supporting one another – skills that extend far beyond the court.
By supporting this scholarship, you’re ensuring that more kids can experience the lifelong benefits of team tennis, regardless of financial barriers. Your gift directly supports children in need, making it possible for them to participate in Junior Team Tennis and grow through the sport Elaine loved.
