The National Junior Tennis and Learning (NJTL) network is a USTA tennis program that:
- Combines educational components with tennis skills development.
- Targets juniors of all ages.
- Promotes Fun, Fitness, and Friends: the three main reasons why kids play sports.
- Offers special grant funds for starting new NJTL programs and expanding existing ones.
- Offers National Camp and Scholarship opportunities for participants.
- Provides opportunities to host and/or attend Regional Rallies and play against kids from other NJTL programs from around the region.
- Provides high quality liability and accident insurance at a low-cost.
- Co-founded by Arthur Ashe and Charles Pasarell in 1969.
The philosophy of the NJTL program centers on team play and teamwork. It provides a safe-haven for young people and positive role models while striving to bring together young people from every segment of a community.
