Four Georgia National Junior Tennis & Learning (NJTL) chapters will be represented at the 2026 Lenny Simpson NJTL Southern Leadership Camp, taking place June 11–14 in Memphis, Tennessee.
The annual camp brings together 30 NJTL participants ages 12–17 from across the USTA Southern Section for a weekend focused on leadership development, educational enrichment, tennis instruction, and team-building activities. Through interactive workshops and on-court experiences, participants gain valuable skills that help them grow as leaders in their schools, communities, and NJTL programs.
Representing Georgia this year are four outstanding NJTL chapters:
- South Atlanta, led by Sam Kennedy
- South Clayton, led by Conrad Cooke
- Above the Net, led by Caniece Haywood
- Athletes Youth Success Institute (AYSI), led by Jonathan Hart
The Lenny Simpson NJTL Southern Leadership Camp is designed to empower young people through meaningful experiences that build confidence, encourage teamwork, and foster personal growth. Participants will have the opportunity to connect with peers from across the South while learning lessons that extend far beyond the tennis court.
Named in honor of Lenny Simpson, a trailblazer in tennis and youth development, the camp continues his legacy of creating opportunities for young people through education, leadership, and sport.
USTA Georgia is proud to have these four NJTL chapters represented at this year’s camp and looks forward to seeing the positive impact the experience will have on the participants as they return to their local programs and communities.
