Georgia Juniors Set to Compete in 2026 Southern Ozaki Junior Cup

Some of the South’s top junior tennis players will come together September 17–20 for the 2026 Southern Ozaki Junior Cup, an annual team competition featuring players ages 12–18 from across the Southern Section.

The event will be held at the Rome Tennis Center at Berry College in Rome, Georgia, bringing together teams from nine Southern states: Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Louisiana, South Carolina and Mississippi.

Each state team includes 24 players and four coaches, with three boys and three girls representing each age division from 12U through 18U. Georgia players are selected based on the age division in which they have earned their highest USTA ranking, giving top-ranked juniors an opportunity to represent their state in a unique team environment.

Competition begins Thursday evening, September 17, with doubles and continues throughout the weekend with singles, doubles and mixed doubles. The states are placed into three brackets based on team rankings, creating a competitive format that gives players the opportunity to compete against some of the strongest juniors from across the region.

In addition to representing their state, players can earn USTA National Level 4 ranking points during the event.
