Youth Protection Policies and Procedures

The mission of the United States Tennis Association, USTA Southern and USTA Georgia is To Promote and Develop the Growth of Tennis. In pursuing its mission, ensuring the safety of all participants is of paramount importance. USTA Junior Team Tennis promotes social skills and important values by fostering a spirit of cooperation and unity, as well as individual self-growth. It is also a fun environment for kids in which they learn that succeeding is about how they play the game – win or lose. An important goal of Junior Team Tennis is to provide a safe and positive experience for participants so that they may enjoy the benefits of a sport they can play for a lifetime.

Volunteer Involvement is Key

The mission and programs of USTA Georgia Junior Team Tennis would not be possible without the dedicated efforts and commitment of thousands of volunteers. Safety is a shared responsibility and requires the ongoing support and commitment of coaches, captains, parents, league coordinators and other league officials and participants.

Safety First

Your children’s safety is IMPORTANT TO US! All parents, coaches and volunteers that are listed as a team coach/captain or co-captain in the USTA Junior Team Tennis TennisLink system are REQUIRED to complete the Safe Play Screening Process and Youth Protection Training.

For more information and to begin your background screening and Safe Play Process go to www.usta.com/safeplay.
