Black History Month: Calvin Kemp plus Paul Pittman on advocating for tennis courts

With the number of tennis players growing in the last five years, more tennis courts are needed. While some courts are being converted to pickleball courts, the USTA Southern Advocacy Task Force is enabling grassroots advocates to make the case for tennis. Former Board Member Paul Pittman explains developed advocacy tools for local communities.

In the first episode of Black History Month, Calvin Kemp of Lafayette, Louisiana is interviewed.  Kemp was honored with the 2023 Southern Tennis Professional of the Year and received another award, the Member Organization of the Year, for Acadiana Serves.

Talking Tennis Southern Style is hosted by Georgia’s own Sam Crenshaw of 92.9 “The Game” Atlanta sports radio, Sports Anchor/Reporter at Atlanta 69 News at 8 as well as a broadcaster for Georgia State athletics.
