Georgia Juniors Strike Gold at USTA National Championships

The USTA National Level 1 Championships in August brought together the nation’s top junior players — and three Georgia standouts delivered championship-winning performances on the biggest stage in U.S. junior tennis.

Hannah Ayrault (Atlanta) was unstoppable in San Diego, capturing the Girls’ 16s National Singles Championship and earning the coveted Gold Ball. She also reached the doubles final, bringing home a Silver Ball in Girls’ 16s Doubles. With her singles victory, Hannah not only joins an elite list of national champions, but also earns a main draw entry into the US Open Junior Championships later this month — a remarkable next step in her tennis journey.

Juliana Diianni (Marietta) teamed up with Aleksandra Jerkunica (FL) to win the Girls’ 14s Doubles Championship in Rome, GA, claiming her own Gold Ball.  Their teamwork and determination proved unbeatable as they came out on top of a 96 doubles team draw.

Shaan Majeed (Cumming) also shined, taking home the Gold Ball in Boys’ 16s Doubles at Kalamazoo. In addition, he reached the consolation final in Boys’ 16s Singles — a testament to his resilience, skill, and competitive spirit.

The USTA National Championships are the pinnacle of junior competition in the United States, offering the highest national ranking points and the honor of competing against the country’s best. Georgia Tennis is proud to celebrate the outstanding accomplishments of Hannah, Juliana, and Shaan — three champions whose dedication and success inspire the next generation of players.
