Team Georgia Shines at the Southern Ozaki Junior Cup

The 2025 Southern Ozaki Junior Cup brought together some of the most talented junior players from across the South for a weekend filled with competition, camaraderie, and unforgettable memories. Team Georgia arrived ready to represent their state with pride, energy, and determination.

Throughout the weekend, our players faced grueling matches in hot conditions, often playing late into the evening. Despite the challenges, they showed resilience, heart, and an unwavering team spirit that defined their experience. Teammates rallied behind each other, celebrating victories and supporting one another through tough moments—demonstrating the true meaning of sportsmanship.

Our coaches—Melanie Oudin, Marley Woods, Alex Shusis, and Kurt Clemmons—were instrumental in guiding the players. From calm encouragement to strategic advice to infectious energy on the sidelines, each coach brought their own unique strength that lifted the team throughout the tournament. Parents, too, played an essential role. Their positivity, flexibility, and steady support helped make the weekend not only successful but enjoyable for the players.
