On May 30th, the Georgia Tennis Foundation hosted its NJTL Leadership Camp, bringing together 70 participants from five NJTL chapters across Georgia for a day of tennis, leadership development, and friendly competition.
The day began with on-court activities led by NJTL coaches, where participants engaged in drills, skill development, match play, and team-building exercises. Players had the opportunity to sharpen their tennis skills while connecting with peers from different communities across the state.
In addition to the on-court programming, participants took part in leadership-focused activities designed to build confidence, communication, and teamwork. The camp provided a positive environment where young athletes could develop valuable life skills while strengthening relationships through the sport of tennis.
The day concluded with the 3rd Annual NJTL Quiz Bowl, a spirited competition that tested participants’ knowledge of tennis history, rules, professional players, and the game itself. Teams showcased impressive teamwork and quick thinking throughout the challenge, with MACH Academy emerging as this year’s Quiz Bowl champions.
The Georgia Tennis Foundation extends its gratitude to the coaches, volunteers, and chapter leaders whose dedication made the camp a success. Events like these continue to demonstrate the power of tennis to inspire leadership, foster connections, and create meaningful opportunities for young people throughout Georgia.
