Yesterday, we celebrated an incredible milestone as Michael Graham, Senior Director of Community Development and Programs, officially retired from USTA Georgia after more than 21 years of dedicated service.
For more than two decades, Michael has been at the heart of growing tennis across our state. As the bridge between the USTA Georgia state office and our 32 Community Tennis Associations, he has built lasting relationships, mentored countless community leaders, and helped strengthen the network that brings tennis to communities of every size.
Michael’s passion for strategic planning and organizational excellence has helped Community Tennis Associations create stronger programs, develop future leaders, and expand opportunities for players of all ages and abilities. His vision has left a lasting mark on community tennis throughout Georgia.
He has also been the driving force behind our award-winning Community Tennis Development Workshop, an event that has educated, inspired, and connected tennis professionals and volunteers for years. Through his leadership, hundreds of community leaders have gained the tools and ideas needed to grow the game in their own communities.
The comments shared yesterday speak volumes about Michael’s impact. Again and again, people described him as a trusted leader, a mentor, a collaborator, and a friend. His professionalism, encouragement, and genuine care for others have touched so many across the Georgia tennis community.
Michael, thank you for your leadership, your dedication, and the countless ways you’ve helped make tennis stronger in Georgia. Your legacy will continue through the communities, programs, and people you’ve inspired.
