Georgia will be well represented at the 2nd Annual Mary Hatfield Junior Team Tennis Invitational, taking place September 5–6 at the Mobile Tennis Center in Mobile, Alabama.
The Invitational brings together 48 Junior Team Tennis teams from eight states—Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee—for a weekend of team competition, camaraderie and fun.
Among the talented teams traveling to Mobile are 11 teams from Georgia, including 10 Atlanta-area teams and one Southern Crescent team.
Atlanta Teams
The Atlanta contingent will be led by captains Drew Clough – 10U BEG (new), Prasanna Venkatesh – 10U BEG, Jane Hunter – 10U BEG, Dinesh Kovvuri – 10U ADV, Corinne Cartwright – 12U ADV & 18U BEG, Harish Challa – 12U BEG, Hieu Cao – 12U BEG, Chris Nall – 14U INT, Irina Harder – 14U BEG, AJ Reddy – 18U INT.
These teams represent the strength and enthusiasm of Junior Team Tennis in the Atlanta area, bringing players together to compete as a team while building friendships and creating memorable experiences on and off the court.
Southern Crescent Team
Representing the Southern Crescent area will be a team captained by Larry Graham – 18U BEG. The team will join their fellow Georgia players in representing the state at this growing regional Invitational.
The Mary Hatfield Junior Team Tennis Invitational is a celebration of what makes Junior Team Tennis special—teamwork, competition, sportsmanship and a shared love of the game. With players from eight states coming together, the weekend will provide Georgia’s teams with an opportunity to test their skills against new competition while connecting with players from across the Southeast.
